Sometimes the King James Version is still the best: “My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according to thy word.” (Psalm 119:28)
Come to think of it, Psalm 119 has several great passages about the strength and comfort of God’s word:
Verse 81: “My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.”
Verse 89: “Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.”
Verse 105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
