No one does religious pomp and circumstance like the Roman Catholics. Below is a video from one of several religious processions in the city of Madrid on Good Friday, 2024.

Even though temps were in the 40’s several people were walking barefoot and some had chains on their feet.

As impressive as these acts of religious devotion are, nothing impresses God more than simple faith in our crucified and risen Savior, Jesus Christ:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,  “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” (Revelation 5:12-13)
