“The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.” Mother Teresa (https://www.catholic.org/clife/teresa/quotes.php, accessed 8-26-2024)
If the US Supreme Court was aware of Mother Teresa’s attitude toward abortion would it have impacted their decision that was handed down on January 22, 1973? The decision known as Roe v. Wade held that a woman has a constitutional right to end the life of her unborn child through abortion at any stage of her pregnancy.
Many US Supreme Court decisions are handed down and soon forgotten about. That is certainly not the case with Roe v. Wade. Since this one single decision legalized abortion across the country people have been working to overturn it. They agree with Mother Teresa that abortion is the greatest destroyer of peace. People wonder why our country is so divided. It’s hard to see how people who think it’s fine to kill unborn children will ever be at peace with those who think it is murder.
