Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9)

There are many ways that people pressure women who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies to get an abortion. One of the most common is for the boyfriend who was there at the conception to tell the woman that if she gets an abortion we can get on with our relationship and our lives. They make it clear that if the woman continues with the pregnancy the relationship will be over. Sadly, what often happens is that the woman goes ahead with killing her child and it does not save the relationship. The couple breaks up anyway.
