Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9)

One of the accusations that those who favor abortion level against those of us who are life-affirming is that we only care about stopping abortion, we don’t care what happens to the children after they are born. It’s hard for me to understand what they are talking about since there are thousands of organizations and churches across the country that offer support to women who have babies and young children. If what they mean is that we don’t think it is the government’s job to care for the children who are born instead of being aborted then yes, I would have to agree with them on that. The best care and support for children comes from their family members, not from government.
