50 Abortion Observations – Observation 49

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9)

One of the fundamental laws of Christianity is: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” When asked, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus responded with the story known as “The Good Samaritan.” In the story, a man who is a Samaritan stops to help a complete stranger who is laying half-dead on the roadside. Basically we should love everyone as much as we love ourselves and everyone, including unborn children, are our neighbors. The loving thing to do to the unborn is not to kill them through abortion but to love and support them as much as we can.
