As a teenager, my favorite album was Deep Purple’s Machine Head, which included such classics as “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway Star.” More recently my favorite album is Raising Sand, the wonderful collaboration between Led Zeppelin’s lead singer Robert Plant and bluegrass phenomenon Alison Krauss, that won the Grammy for album of the year in 2009.
