“I paint with pen and ink. I call them inkings.” So reads the artist statement of Rebecca Tombaugh, an artist I discovered on a recent art outing in Kansas City.

The offices of the Buttonwood Financial Group and the Union Hill Animal Hospital are a block apart in the 3000 block of Main Street in downtown Kansas City. Several Kansas City-area artists are currently being featured in art shows at both locations. One of these artists is Rebecca Tombaugh. Here is a sampling of her work.

For just $10.00 you can own this work entitled “Dog Walking a Human.” Sure, it appears to be on a piece of notebook paper but it captures the essence of one of the daily rituals of dog owners.
